Utterly delicious and light, brimming with premium ingredients. Our testers devoured its slow cooked beef, chunky fruity tomato and Italian herb ragu generously layered between egg-free pasta and subtle cheesy bechamel sauce. Pleasingly creamy and fresh basil after taste.

Pleasing to the eye, this tasty carb treat is topped with fresh parsley and layered with traditional pasta and succulent meat. The plentiful nutmeg-rich bechamel sauce is paired with a chunky garlicky tomato sauce. Though it delivered on flavour, the meat is a little sparse.

A fresh tasting, meaty lasagne with a mouth-watering, complex bite of beef, smoked bacon, pork and chicken liver. The meat is complimented by a fruity tomato ragu and lots of bechamel sauce. Some testers said that the balsamic vinegar was just too strong for their liking.

Al dente pasta and a deliciously oozy bechamel sauce were a hit with our panel but the dish was lacking in meat. Our panel would have liked a little more spice to bring out flavour.

Bubbling cheesy lasagne with slow cooked meaty aroma and rich, vibrant red ragu. Sweet bechamel sauce with a distinct sprinkle of nutmeg, sage and rosemary gives this sauce a full, rounded flavour. Sadly, the bechamel sauce was floury.

Overall Score: 71/100
Creamy bechamel sauce is paired with a crispy cheese topping for an enjoyable bite. There is a lovely yet subtle taste of the mince, however the ragu lacked the punchy tomato flavour we had hoped for and the pasta was not al dente.

Morrisons The Best Lasagne Al Forno
Overall Score: 69/100
A touch of Grana Padano gives the bechamel sauce in this lasagne its sweetness. Made from mascarpone and cheddar sauce, it is more of an Italian - English fusion. Unfortunately, the ragu failed us due to its under-seasoned beef with a sinewy, gristly texture.

Iceland Luxury Beef & Pancetta Al Forno Lasagne
Overall Score: 63/100
Liked for an unusual reason, this lasagne mimics more of a classic Italian pizza flavour. Our testers picked up a distinct cured meat aroma that was likened to pepperoni. Despite its quirky appeal the lasagne tastes unbalanced and is too heavy on the meat, with not enough seasoning.
