Nails in the coffin! These are the best Halloween nail art ideas for 2025

Monstrously good manicures for your next salon trip

By , and

There once was a time when a couple of coats of black nail polish, possibly even a dark purple, felt like a sufficient nod to spooky season. But those days are gone. According to experts at Campfire, in the build-up to Halloween, spooky designs on TikTok have skyrocketed by more than an impressive 5.3 million views, and it’s safe to say they’re far from just a quick lick of colour.

Think: elaborate nail art, horror-film homages, spooky motifs, some surprisingly sweet shades and, of course, pumpkin galore.

If this all feels a bit much, there’s still a place for a glossy aubergine, deep navy or blood-red nail. There’s nothing wrong with keeping things simple. That said, if you’re ready to go full-blown Halloween, we’ve rounded up some of the best designs around — we promise you’re in for a treat (no tricks here).

Ghostly French tip

If your go-to is a French tip, here’s an easy way to give it a Halloween twist. Swap in your usual white tips for some ghostly figures instead. Simple, but spooky. (Even easy enough to DIY at home!)

Witch’s cat nails

Cat-lovers, it’s our time to shine. What better way to get into the Halloween spirit than with some adorable, spooky kitties? The sweet nail art pops against a chic, nudey-pink base and looks gorgeous when paired with contrasting sparkly, midnight-black nails.

Scream is a Halloween classic and if you’re the type who rewatches the franchise every year, these nails are for you. Glittery blood-red drips meet a playful (and slightly terrifying) Ghostface motif for the spookiest manicure of the season.

Spooky ’n’ sweet nails

If darker polishes aren’t for you, you can still join in on the fun. This manicure combines gorgeous glittery pink nails with playful Halloween nail art. Think: spiders, ominous blood drips - and throw some sparkles in there, too.

Pumpkin face nails

Let’s face it, not all of us have the time to make a trip down to the salon. If you’re more of a DIY-nail kind of person, we have you covered. Simply apply an orange base polish, then grab a nail-art tool (or, for a true DIY touch, the end of a bobby pin) and paint on some spooky faces.

Beetlejuice nails

Ever since its release in 1988, Beetlejuice has been a firm Halloween favourite. This simple yet playful manicure captures the film’s signature colour scheme — and, of course, includes a nod to Beetlejuice’s iconic striped suit.

Monochrome cobweb nails

If you usually stick to a classic black mani for Halloween, here’s an easy way to take it to the next level. Matte black nails paired with glossy black cobwebs offers a subtle contrast when the light catches them just right.

Frankenstein nails

Frankenstein, but make it chic. The classic horror icon meets a stylish manicure in this playful set. Think fun French tips, silver chrome nails and an adorable Frankenstein face — each nail has its own unique design.
