My mum always used an old-fashioned moisturising cream called Vanishing Cream. I remember when I was about 7 or 8, I got into a panic because I thought it would make her vanish!
She said 'this is to keep my skin nice and soft'. Although she wasn’t saying 'this is what you should use'. In those days it wasn’t like that. You were a little girl and you grew up. Mums didn’t do that sort of thing. I always had very dry skin so I started pinching some of hers when I was a teenager.
