Ikea‘s global sales fell slightly in the past financial year, despite an increase in the number of customers and products sold. The furniture giant continues to open new stores, including smaller city concepts.
New stores and smaller formats
Ingka Group, the largest franchisee of the Ikea concept, reported sales of 39 billion euros for the 2025 fiscal year, compared to 39.6 billion euros in the previous year. However, the number of items sold rose by 1.6%, while the number of store visits increased by 1.3% and online traffic grew by as much as 4.6%.
