Wibra continues to accelerate its expansion in Belgium: after adding seven stores in 2024 and thirteen this year, the chain hopes to add another fifteen to twenty in 2026. If this succeeds, Wibra will cross a symbolic threshold.
Restart with 36
In October 2020, the chain restarted with 36 Belgian stores after a bankruptcy. The chain needed more than a year to put things in order, but announced its intention to open “dozens of stores” in Belgium in early 2022. Wibra ended 2023 with more than fifty locations, added seven more in 2024 and and grew from 58 to 71 this year.
