The Chinese e-commerce platform Temu and the Belgian bpostgroup are expanding their current collaboration in Belgium and Canada to broaden delivery options and develop new initiatives.
Environmentally friendly and low-carbon solutions
Temu and bpostgroup have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to further expand their collaboration. According to a press release, both partners want to further strengthen their current collaboration in Belgium and Canada, test a range of new delivery models (including services for heavier parcels) and increase accessibility via pick-up and drop-off points.
The aim is to expand delivery options and develop new initiatives that better meet the needs of sellers, consumers, and the e-commerce ecosystem in a broader sense. As part of the collaboration, bpostgroup will contribute its expertise in environmentally friendly and low-carbon solutions that can be used in Temu’s activities.
Temu opened its marketplace to local sellers across Europe in 2024. In the long term, the platform expects local sellers and local fulfillment to account for 80% of its European sales.
