Seven out of ten products ordered from Temu and Shein do not comply with European safety standards. This is according to a joint investigation by consumer organizations in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, and Denmark.
Cadmium and fire hazard
According to consumer associations, a quarter of the products are downright dangerous, following a joint investigation into jewelry, toys, and electronic devices on both platforms. However, other categories were not investigated.
