On Wednesday, Dutch retailer Blokker opened its fortieth store since the restart six weeks ago. CEO Roland Palmer sees potential for 200 stores in the Netherlands.
Revenue exceeds expectations
The fortieth “new” Blokker opened its doors yesterday in Amsterdam, a milestone after going bankrupt last November. The retailer is making an ambitious restart under its new owner, former board member (and member of the founding family) Roland Palmer. The first branches opened their doors on 18 June. The chain aims for a more modern shopping experience, without losing sight of its traditional customer base.
