The Belgian retail real estate market is reviving this year: take-up of retail real estate rose by 12 % to 341,000 sqm in the first three quarters of 2025. A number of major bankruptcies are bringing in new tenants, but there is also optimism beyond that.
Flemish cities in particular
The real estate world is looking at the retail market with more confidence: Jonathan Delguste, Head of High Streets Belux at Cushman & Wakefield, says he has returned from the MAPIC real estate fair with “good leads, interest from brands, new concepts and a generally positive feeling”, L’Echo reports.
