Like Shein, Amazon also sold sex dolls with childlike features. A Swedish children’s rights organization has filed a complaint against the platform and two other online stores. However, similar dolls had already been spotted on Amazon in 2018.
Call for a ban
Children’s rights organization ChildX refers to “products that normalize child abuse” and calls for stricter rules for online platforms. “We don’t want these sites to be able to operate in Sweden because they normalize child abuse and can lead to more actual abuse,” Ida Östensson, secretary general of ChildX, told the AFP news agency.
