Unilever has set a new target date for the planned IPO of its ice cream division The Magnum Ice Cream Company, which was postponed earlier due to the uncertainty surrounding the shutdown of government services in the United States.
Largest ice cream manufacturer
Unilever had initially planned to float the new entity on the stock market on 10 November, but the shutdown of US government services forced the multinational to postpone the listing. However, it has not been cancelled, and it has now announced a new target date for the spin-off: 6 December.
TMICC shares will be traded on the London Stock Exchange for the first time on 8 December, with trading in New York and Amsterdam expected to start on 9 December. Unilever’s ice cream division includes brands such as Ben & Jerry’s, Cornetto, Magnum and Walls. The new company will be the largest player in the global ice cream market.
