Back within a year
The very first F&F store will open in May in Boston, with stores planned for New York, Virginia and Maryland. In total, seven stores have been confirmed for the initial phase.
F&F currently has 43 franchise stores in 10 countries, but the chain intends on expanding into several new markets. Tesco will collaborate with a franchise partner in the United States as well, namely Retail Group of America.
Tesco had sold its American Fresh & Easy formula less than a year ago, after a 6-year stint trying to break into the American market. The company is the world’s third largest retail, trailing Walmart and Carrefour.
