Mondelez is using a generative AI tool to reduce the production costs of marketing content by 30% to 50%. The first short videos are already appearing on social media, with television commercials planned for the end of next year.

The food multinational has been working on the generative AI tool since last year in collaboration with Publicis Groupe and IT service provider Accenture. According to Jon Halvorson, global senior vice president of consumer experience at Mondelez, the tool should be able to generate short television commercials that will be ready for broadcast by next year’s holiday season, and possibly also for the 2027 Super Bowl.
