Makro is accelerating the reconfiguration of its logistics network in Spain to boost its distribution service to the hospitality industry and gain operational efficiency. The plan includes a new regional platform in Andalusia and the opening of a distribution center in Tenerife.
2030 targets
Bertrand Mothe, CEO of Makro Spain, told infoRETAIL magazine that sales are growing strongly and that logistics should keep pace. He described the fiscal year ending September 30 as “a year of change and development” and expressed optimism about the business’s performance, with store renovations and adapting the product range to hospitality customers as priorities.
