Belgian fruit and vegetable group Greenyard is no longer listed on the Brussels Stock Exchange. This clears the way for a complete privatisation by entrepreneur Hein Deprez.
Out of the spotlight
In a first phase, just under 95% of the shares were obtained by investment holding company Garden (owned by financial fund Solum Partners and Deprez himself). Through an additional offer (from 14 August to 4 September), the remaining 1.3 million shares have now also been acquired.
The delisting paves the way for a full Greenyard privatisation. The company, one of Europe’s largest suppliers of fruits and vegetables to retailers, will continue to operate outside the spotlight of the stock market. Deprez is thus taking another step in his strategy to grow and innovate without pressure from the financial markets.
