Jumbo is implementing a number of changes in its management team. Chief Financial Officer Peter van Erp, Sales Director Anrico Maat, and Supply Chain Director Karel de Jong are leaving the company, while Boudewijn van den Brand is joining the team.
More than 25 years of retail experience
Following the announcement of the new CEO Jesper Højer, who will start in January, Jumbo has announced that it will be making a number of changes to its management team in 2026. After 28 years, Peter van Erp will leave the company in the middle of next year. The retailer is starting the search for a successor. Supply Chain Director Karel de Jong and Sales Director Anrico Maat are also handing over their responsibilities and gradually stepping down from their management roles and leaving Jumbo.
In the meantime, Jumbo is appointing a new Sales and Supply Chain Director: Boudewijn van den Brand, the current CEO of Superunie, who, like future Jumbo CEO Jesper Højer, has a long career at Lidl behind him. He was CEO of Lidl Belgium from 2014 to 2022. “We see Boudewijn as a good addition to Jumbo’s management team. He has more than 25 years of retail experience in a variety of (management) roles. With his Veghel roots, accessible personality, and entrepreneurial drive, Boudewijn is a good fit for Jumbo,” says interim CEO Tom Heidman.
