Supermarket chain Dia continued its growth in Spain in the third quarter, raising its sales 8.2 % 1.45 billion euros. Like-for-like sales rose 6.8 % thanks to a 5.2 % increase in volume. In Argentina, however, there was a 24 % decline (5.1 % on a like-for-like basis).
More stores in Spain
Between January and September, the chain opened 58 proximity stores in Spain, but also closed 28 other locations. In the fourth quarter, Dia wants to accelerate its growth further and open more than thirty stores in Spain.
