The Chocolate Family, known for its Dragee and Pralibel brands, is being acquired by the German Windel Group. Following the acquisition, the Belgian family business will work closely with its new sister company, Kim’s Chocolates.
“As many chocolate smiles as possible”
The current owners, Ellen and Sjaak Huurman, will continue to manage The Chocolate Family. “Windel is the ideal partner for us. Together, we can continue to do what drives us most—create as many chocolate smiles as possible,” they said in a joint statement. The company has over 200 employees spread across two locations in Essen and Vichte.
