All five American chains of Ahold Delhaize now operate on the company’s own digital and e-commerce platform, with Hannaford being the last to join. The retail group serves 26 million online customers every week.

Ahold Delhaize calls it a milestone now that the retailer has completed the roll-out of its cloud-based e-commerce platform for all five of its US brands: Food Lion, The Giant Company, Giant Food, Hannaford, and Stop & Shop.
The roll-out of the internally developed platform, named PRISM, ultimately took nearly five years: it was first put into use by Stop&Shop in 2020. The platform supports thousands of daily online orders and digital interactions and provides Ahold Delhaize with a host of benefits, from improved site performance and simplified account management to personalised promotions, a more integrated online ordering and fulfilment experience, and enhanced advertising and retail media capabilities.
Earlier this year, Ahold Delhaize announced that its e-commerce activities were profitable at the group level for the first time.
