Zalando has appointed experienced Anna Dimitrova as Chief Financial Officer, effective January 1, 2026. She will also join the board of directors. The new top executive will be responsible for strengthening the fashion company’s financial foundation.
Accelerating growth
With an international career spanning more than 20 years, Dimitrova brings extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and investor relations. She is currently Chief Financial Officer at Deutsche Glasfaser and previously held management positions at Vodafone Group.
According to the press release, Dimitrova will play a crucial role in strengthening the company’s financial base and stimulating growth. Zalando is continuing its ecosystem strategy to become the leading pan-European e-commerce platform for fashion and lifestyle, both for consumers and sales partners. David Schröder, who has been interim CFO since March, will once again focus fully on his duties as co-CEO.
“Like Zalando, I have a passion for how technology changes customers’ lives, societies, and business models,” says Dimitrova. “Zalando is proof that Europe can produce growth companies for the digital age. I’m excited to work with everyone to accelerate growth, expand margins and drive strong cash generation at scale across Europe.”
