British retailer Topshop plans to stage “the world’s first AI-driven, shoppable catwalk” next February. The so-called ‘Runway to the Future’ will have different ‘immersive zones’ and promises to set a new standard for virtual shopping.
Interactive experience
This year, Topshop staged a physical show at London’s Trafalgar Square as a statement for its comeback, but next year the retailer hopes to jump into the virtual world with what it calls the world’s first AI-driven, shoppable catwalk show. Developed in cooperation with giants like Paypal and Google, the marketing studio behind the show calls the show a truly “interactive experience”, where every look is instantly shoppable and the audience can even become co-creators of the show.
