In Manchester, Primark is testing a new repair service: customers can have their clothes altered the same day. The pop-up tackles minor repairs at low rates to make extending the life of clothes more accessible.
Removing the threshold
The repair service focuses on simple adjustments and repairs, such as burst seams, missing buttons and shortening pants. Depending on the job, the work can be completed in as little as 20 minutes. Appointments can be booked online through Eventbrite, but just walking in is also possible. Prices start from 3 British pounds (3.50 euros), as Primark subsidizes part of the cost.
