PointCarré strengthens its presence on the French market

Belgian fashion chain PointCarré, part of Colruyt Group, has just opened a second French shop in Val de Briey. The multi-brand specialist also opens up its e-shop to French shoppers.

 

Omnichannel approach

The launch of a second French store in Val de Briey, a municipality between Metz and Thionville, is part of PointCarré’s expansion project. “Our stores on the Belgian-French border have been welcoming customers from France from the start. We knew, even before opening our first shop in Châlons-en-Champagne, that our concept appealed to the French shopper: a range of brands offering the best value for money combined with tailor-made, customer-friendly fashion advice”, explains CEO and founder of PointCarré Xavier Goebels.
 

The fashion chain is also making the move to France online. “It is the ideal opportunity. We have taken advantage of the past year to perfect our digital offering”, says Goebels. PointCarré has also installed interactive kiosks in its stores. With these, customers can have an article delivered to their home in a size or colour that is not available in the store.
 

Expansion continues

The Belgian fashion chain wants to open several new branches before the end of 2022, both in France and in Belgium. With Couvin and Beauraing, both in the Belgian province of Namur, two new branches have already been set up. They will open their doors in the coming months.
 

PointCarré was founded in 1995. The chain has 28 points of sale in Belgium and France and employs more than 250 people. In 2017 the company was acquired by Flemish fashion chain ZEB, which is now largely owned by Colruyt Group. Operationally, both chains continue to function separately.
