Interaction with customers in physical shops remains very important to Uniqlo: every day, store staff collect feedback from shoppers, says Kaman Leung, Chief Operating Officer in the Benelux.
“Giving people a wow feeling”
Eighteen years ago, she started as a sales assistant at Uniqlo. Ten years ago, she became store manager at the first Belgian branch in Antwerp, where she has lived ever since. And as Chief Operating Officer for the Benelux, she has supervised the relocation of the store on Meir to a prestigious flagship property just a short distance away: the impressive Osterriethhuis. “It’s a privilege to be able to run a shop in such a beautiful building,” says Kaman Leung in conversation with RetailDetail.
