Luxury group Kering is the next in line having to admit a cyber breach. Millions of customers of Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga and Gucci were targeted. The number of data thefts at Kering and other luxury houses can no longer be counted on one hand.
7.4 million accounts affected
Kering confirmed the break-in, which would have happened in April and was noticed in June, without naming the brands involved. A spokesman told the BBC, “an unauthorized third party gained temporary access to our systems and accessed limited customer data from some of our Houses.”
