Gerry Weber is staging a digital comeback in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). The German fashion brand filed for bankruptcy last spring, closing almost all of its stores, both in Germany and abroad.
Digital repositioning
The relaunch in German-speaking countries is being handled by Globalist Beteiligungs, the e-commerce partner of the Spanish Victrix Group, which also took over the Dutch branch of the bankrupt fashion brand earlier this year. Globalist is taking over the webshop, marketing, and operational management and has opted for a purely digital approach, without physical stores.
