Bluestar Alliance is taking streetwear brand Dickies off VF Corporation for 600 million dollars (560 million euros), as the latter seeks to restructure its portfolio after a period of weak performance.

“We have followed the brand for many years and have a deep appreciation for its history and legacy, which VF Corporation has successfully begun to rebuild over the past few years. We are committed to supporting the brand’s growth by leveraging our consumer insights and operational excellence”, Bluestar CEO Joseph Gabbay said. Founded in 1922, Dickies operates in 55 countries and is considered to be on the border between workwear and streetwear.
