DIY chain Hornbach will soon be expanding into Serbia. Local subsidiaries have already been established, the search for suitable locations is in full swing.
“Repeating the success story”
Hornbach wants to continue growing organically, CEO Erich Harsch says. That is why the chain is looking for expansion opportunities within its current nine markets, but also for the best new markets to tap into.
Hornbach has been active in neighbouring Romania since 2007 and currently has eleven stores there. “We hope to repeat this success story in Serbia”, Board Member Jan Hornbach said in a press release. Serbia would be Hornbach’s tenth market, after its home country of Germany, Austria, Czechia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland.
