Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer, has just launched in Germany. The company is also looking to expand into other European countries.

Active in 10 countries

Germany is the tenth country where the e-tailer is active. In a press release, the Russian company indicates that in the near future it also wants to enter the French, Italian and Spanish markets. This is reported by the TASS news agency.

Wildberries sells a wide range of products such as clothing, toys, sports equipment and cosmetics. In total there are some 4 million articles from 40,000 brands. German shoppers can order through a separate web shop (de.wildberries.eu), but also via mobile applications. The orders are delivered at home or to one of the 40,000 partner points.

Wilberries began its expansion in Europe in 2019. In that year the company launched online shops in Poland and Slovakia, among others. In the first nine months of last year, sales rose 87% to above 4 billion dollar (3.3 billion euro).
