We Found the Biggest LEGO Sets You Can Build

The largest set currently available, and the tallest set LEGO has ever made, this replica stands at 4 feet and 11 inches tall when completed. It's built in four sections that snap together, and there is an esplanade underneath with trees and lamps, to make it feel like the real deal.

At over 4 feet long, this ship features all of the elements that make it so famous. Once finished, it opens into three sections so you can see inside to the boiler room and grand staircase. The pistons even have a button to make the propellers turn. It's a 1:200 scale ship model of the vessel that set sail on that fateful night in 1912. Jack and Rose are not included.

LEGO has made some pretty spectacular Star Wars sets over the decades, but none more magnificent than this nearly 8,000-piece Millennium Falcon. The ship that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs is fully realized and can be configured to showcase the classic and recent crews.

I'm an avid LEGO builder and have put together some large sets, and this is one of the most challenging I've attempted. The front panel is removable and allows access to each floor that's filled with things like the glass walkways, where Captain America fights with himself.

Nothing can quite capture the feeling of walking into a Disney Park and seeing the castle, but this almost 3-foot-tall castle can give you a little bit of the magic when you walk into your house. This Princess-filled dream comes with Tiana, Cinderella, Snow White, and Rapunzel and their significant others. And there are magical fireworks that jut out of the building for a little extra sparkle.

While the Hogwarts Castle may be the most distinctive silhouette in the Harry Potter universe, Gringotts, with its watchful dragon, is probably a close second. LEGO has mastered the art of making realistic flowers with their popular botanical line, but if you want a truly challenging floral set, this option is the way to go. This miniature botanical garden centers around a conservatory with glass-like bricks and includes 35 different plant species.

In the 67-year history of LEGO, they have made so many scale model replicas in building brick form, and this is a prime example of those decades of experience. This isn't just the Artemis rocket or Orion capsule, but both, and also includes the retractable launch tower. "My husband and 9-year-old enjoyed figuring out who owned the boom box, the bubble gum, or the issue of the X-Men comic that came with the set."

She adds that once the set was built, "It has all these fun touches, like a dome that pops off so you can pretend a Sentinel destroyed it. It also comes with a TON of minifigures and pieces that make them look like they're flying or using powers."
